Appalachia Bare Introduces – A Grant Mincy Series

Appalachia Bare is proud to introduce a new monthly nature series written by Grant Mincy, an assistant professor of biology and (sometimes) geology at Pellissippi State Community College in Knoxville, Tennessee. He also sits on the Earth and Planetary Sciences Advisory Council for the University of Tennessee. He often hikes and camps in the Appalachian mountains with his wife, young son, and/or a friend or two.

Grant will present this series through a narrative prose that focuses on his passion for nature. A primitive nature, preservation, conservation, environmental matters, climate issues, and the sciences biology, geology, and dendrology, converge in his writings to inform and connect the reader to a more nature-conscious mind.

Please enjoy this uniquely written series in the coming months.
